Hello, my name is Mitali. Growing up I never ever dreamt of being a fashion designer or an artist, heck I didn't even know what was "Fashion". But then suddenly in my twenties, something changed, I started reading Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire and while I liked all the high fashion images, I was more fascinated by the construction details. I was trying to figure out how a particular dress, skirt or pant was constructed and hence in late 2011 I started taking sewing classes at a local fabric store (Vogue Fabrics). If you are looking for sewing classes in Chicago area, I would highly recommend classes at Vogue fabrics taught by Veronica, she is awesome!! I ended up taking 5 classes back to back and made a skirt, dress, shirt, blouse and pants. And still continue to make garments and spend hours on the internet reading about designers and makers. So here is my little contribution to the this fabulous world. I am here to share my stitches and some stories.
